Seems to me the officer who ordered the video to be destroyed should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.

but was ordered by an officer to delete both videos later the same day. Aviles was not asked if he knew why the officer ordered the videos destroyed.

My only logical thought was to prevent the video from being sold to the media to be broadcast on the news, or put on youtube.

But the phone should have been confiscated, the video removed as evidence, and the then returned/replaced.

I certainly don't see anything conspiratorial.. Just a VERY BAD command decision.

But that officer needs to be identified and questioned.
