I'm for free speech too, Dave! For PEOPLE. For corporations, only to sell me soap. Not to elect their bought politicians.

Which is why 80% of Americans, including a majority of conservatives, agree with ME.

It is a fact that 80% of Americans couldn't slap their asses with both hands.

But those of us who have a mind and actually use it recognize that if we put government in charge of what corporations can and cannot advertise, as you suggested, it crests the top of a slippery slope for which the popular government of the moment controls the key.

Suppose Obama had detected no resistance when he sought to silence Fox News? The biggest single outlet for truth in news would be gone; we would be stuck with the likes of MSNBC and CNN who shovel the liberal agenda down your throat on a daily basis.

No, thanks. I'll take the bad with the good and decide which I want to digest on my own.

Corporations, individuals, Soros, Buffet, Goldman Sachs, what's the difference?

Bentway, > I'm for free speech too, Dave! For PEOPLE. For corporations, only to sell me soap. Not to elect their bought politicians.

How about unions? You realize that the poll question lumped corporations and unions into the same sentence?

What are unions and corporations, other than organizations made up of people to pool resources and accomplish more than what individuals on their own could do?

It should tell you something when the liberal sugah daddy, George Soros, campaigns for McCain-Feingold, then right afterwards pumps $15 million into MoveOn.org.

There's always going to be a loophole for the rich and powerful to exploit when it comes to campaign money. You may not like it, but you sure have plenty of rich liberals who, like Soros, are pursuing their dreams of utopia.
