I am a little slow in picking up on these things, but today I learned about another index stock that can be shorted on the American Stock Exchange. This is MDY, a mid-cap index stock, which is considerbaly more volatile than old SPY. The dividend yield is close to 1%, making it a proxy for the more overvalued issues. I think I mauy short some tomorrow. It declined about twice what the other indeexes di8d today. Excuse typos--I am using an AOL browser that makes part of what I type invisible.
