PTIS TRADE w/ CHARTSgeocities.com Ok bruce.. for tomorrow, i would put a buy stop at 9 3/4. at that point, it will clear the 21,50 day MAs.. However, i do not think it will happen. today, we had a weak close (still inside the downward channel).. for my chart, the left side shows the fibs in a daily scale with 50 day MA (bright green).. For the right chart, i do not like how the stochrsi 8,5 is up high like that and also the trix buy crossover will occur down below 0.. volume low and candlestick analysis was bearish... Bruce, please add your thoughts if you have any.. ================================================== here is the expert advisor for my CSS II.. all mechanical.. I mainly look at volume % above/below average and note the candlesticks. And also the width of the bbands.. the macd, cci, signals, i dont really pay attention to.. CSS 2: Analysis of PLASMA THERM (PTIS) Reviewed on 11/10/97 High: 9.500 Low: 9.000 Close: 9.125 Change: 0.188 (0.021%) Volume Today: 128,900 shares. On 11/10/97, PLASMA THERM closed up 0.1875 at 9.1250 on volume 39.83% below average. A black body occurred (because prices closed lower than they opened). During the past 10 bars, there have been 5 white candles and 5 black candles. During the past 50 bars, there have been 22 white candles and 23 black candles for a net of 1 black candles. A long upper shadow occurred. This is typically a bearish signal (particularly when it occurs near a high price level, at resistance level, or when the security is overbought). A spinning top occurred (a spinning top is a candle with a small real body). Spinning tops identify a session in which there is little price action (as defined by the difference between the open and the close). During a rally or near new highs, a spinning top can be a sign that prices are losing momentum and the bulls may be in trouble. Momentum is a general term used to describe the speed at which prices move over a given time period. Generally, changes in momentum tend to lead to changes in prices. This expert shows the current values of four popular momentum indicators. Stochastic Oscillator One method of interpreting the Stochastic Oscillator is looking for overbought areas (above 80) and oversold areas (below 20). The Stochastic Oscillator is 47.2222. This is not an overbought or oversold reading. The last signal was a sell 17 period(s) ago. Relative Strength Index (RSI) The RSI shows overbought (above 70) and oversold (below 30) areas. The current value of the RSI is 42.54. This is not a topping or bottoming area. A buy or sell signal is generated when the RSI moves out of an overbought/oversold area. The last signal was a sell 19 period(s) ago. Commodity Channel Index (CCI) The CCI shows overbought (above 100) and oversold (below -100) areas. The current value of the CCI is -27. This is not a topping or bottoming area. The last signal was a buy 6 period(s) ago. MACD The Moving Average Convergence/Divergence indicator (MACD) gives signals when it crosses its 9 period signal line. The last signal was a sell 17 period(s) ago. The MACD can provide buy/sell indications in three ways, signal line crossovers, overbought/oversold conditions, and divergences. Crossovers Currently the MACD is bearish since it is trading below its signal line. The MACD crossed below its signal line 17 period(s) ago. Since the MACD crossed its moving average, PLASMA THERM's price has decreased 16.57%, and has ranged from a high of 12.000 to a low of 8.125. Overbought/Oversold The MACD is not in an Overbought/Oversold range. Divergence There have been no divergence signals within the last 5 periods. Directional Indicator Table Today's Value Previous Value +DI 20.000 18.000 -DI 32.000 34.000 ADX 27.000 27.000 ADXR 24.000 24.000 Summary There currently isn't a specific price direction. Because this is a trend following system, it should not be used to initiate any trades right now. The last signal was a Sell 60 period(s) ago. On 11/10/97, PLASMA THERM closed above the lower band by 30.4%. Bollinger Bands are 109.91% wider than normal. The large width of the bands suggest high volatility as compared to PLASMA THERM's normal range. Therefore, the probability of volatility decreasing and prices entering (or remaining in) a trading range has increased for the near-term. The bands have been in this wide range for 11 period(s). The probability of prices consolidating into a less volatile trading range increases the longer the bands remain in this wide range. The recent price action around the bands compared to the action of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) does not suggest any trading opportunities at this time.
