Zeev - a good point regarding the demands (for anything, for that matter) in SE Asia would be slowed; however, how do you see the European mkts? With England raising rates but Germany high unemployment, there doesn't seem to have a uniform picture. Back to Asia, while the current woes have put a drag on the countrys' technology infrastructure buildup, their problems are due to their misplaced capital (into real estates development, like the US and that of Japan in the late 80s.) If they are to get back on their feet, they ve to modernise their infrastructures. But the real question I don't know is what portion of the technology products, like INTC's ASP, are *consumed* locally. For example, it is a common perception that many notebooks sold by US vendors are actually produced in Taiwan. So, so long as there is an appetite worldwide, the taiwanese OEMs will keep producing them. Have said that, it is also understood many PC manufacturers like CPQ are trying to expand in these countries, so you may be right.
