Ted, O'Donnell's answer was atrocious, but her opponent was also being dishonest with the first amendment. O'Donnell was making the point, correctly, that the constitution doesn't exactly say what some believe it says. The courts interpreted those clauses to mean "separation of church and state". Of course, the nuance is lost on your type.

This is what your peers in DE think is an able candidate for the Senate. For those of you who were sleeping during your gov't classes in middle school or junior high, the Senate is the most august legislative body in the land. And candidates like Angle and O'Donnell make a mockery of that body. This, from someone who hasn't read in a book in what, 10 years?
