Sounds like you actually read the letter, which is embedded in one of the articles. I read it as well, and agree they are looking for a settlement to reduce their losses. Countrywide has been shafting them on fees, and not living up to the terms of the contract. BofA has 60 days to get the Countrywide management to do their jobs...or else it's going to get really ugly. If the letter is correct it looks like a case that the plaintiffs will have no problem winning.

It's quite interesting the garbage Countrywide has been pulling. Sounds like they have Harvard graduates running the company.

Some news articles indicated that BofA was being told they had to take back all the mortgages, and that there was a lawsuit filed. I did not get that impression from reading the letter. The plaintiffs want the fraud to stop.
