Auto parts manufacturer Delphi will use an $89 million stimulus grant to retain 100 manufacturing jobs and make 100 additional hires at a facility building parts for hybrid vehicles.

==

So that is 200 jobs for $89,000,000

That's right plus the construction jobs for the new plant plus the construction materials plus the jobs it creates in other industries to service the plant and its employees plus the boost it provides a small city that was on the ropes two years ago. Plus these jobs are good for X number of years into the future.

==

And a Colorado solar company plans to use $300 million in stimulus funds to hire as many as 900 workers at an old Daimler auto plant south of town that will make products to export to Europe.

==

So that is 900 jobs for $300,000,000

That's right plus the construction jobs needed to rehab the bldg plus the materials needed for the rehab plus the jobs it creates in other industries to service the company and its new employees, plus the boost it gives a small city. Again, those jobs will continue indefinitely into the future.

==

I am in the wrong line of work, I should have gotten into the creating jobs business, the vig alone would have me up to my neck in cocaine and hookers ...

Yeah, I think you best stick with coke and hookers. I don't think you have a clue what it takes to turn around a city, region or country.

BTW if your neighbor's house catches on fire and they haven't paid their fire dep't taxes or fees, let the house burn to the ground. ;-)

Cool... I'm sure they'll beat the crap out of any foreign competition. It's nice to compete when the "manufacturer" has no labor costs.

Hey, here is one to free markets!... ;)
