The world is over the "top" of the curve on fossil fuel energy.

If it could scale to "the moon" I wouldn't be worried. But where do we go now for liquid fuels..? A hint... over 40% of new discoveries are in deep water now. Not dry land! The costs... It's a scary subject.. Much more expensive than drilling on dry land.

Unfortunately I don't think we can scale renewables fast enough to make up for depletion in fossil fuels in the world.

The Chinese will win that one I'm afraid because we are going to be late to the game.

Notice I said "the world".

Let's come back in 20 or so years and see if fossil fuels are cheaper.

(don't take a bet on that one my friend!)
