Carol - May I attempt to answer this one too? DIGI did form a cup with handle in Sept, Oct, but it did not muster the necessary breakout, as it failed to the downside in mid October, and there was no volume "kick". While some stocks will rise without such a kick, having one is the only sure way to be sure it is a breakout. One problem is that to be absolutely sure it is a genuine breakout, you would have to wait until it is over!! Lacking certainty, your chances are very good when 1.) The shape occurs, and 2.) it is accompanied by at least 1 1/2 times average monthly volume (more is better). Ultimately, it has to make "new highs" as it did after the handle ending January 1, 1997. I would not buy this now due to the "head-and-shoulders" pattern recently completed. (Top of head in mid-September, two shoulders on the left and two on right). Hope this helps. Please look and see if you agree.

Regards,

-Al
