Re: the Alphanet Office concept. Just like the InnFax idea, I don't think this is what is behind the "oomph" in Alphanet's stock price.

Looking back over the summer, the price of the stock hit the $8
level because there were delays in the Beta testing of the
voice/fax over IP network. I would guess from this that the
hospitality side isn't what is attracting investors.

There doesn't seem to be that much sizzle in the hospitality angle.
Reasons:

* it's likely to be a low-margin business - with the high rate of
PC obsolescence, they have to charge enough to cover the replacement
cost of upgrading every n years.
* the traveller's laptop is strong competition

Insider selling of Alphanet Telecom:

In the Globe & Mail today: "Alphanet Telecom sold 1,750,000 shares
during September at $9 to hold 1,112,300"

Guess the company itself thinks the shares are worth $9 ?

I think they're expensive at half that price but then what the
heck do I know?
