I seen a video on YouTube, they had 2 identical FAST Alienware gaming notebooks side by side. The only difference one had an SSD.

Well the fired up a game at the same time on both machines, the one with the SSD loaded the game and was already playing the game, the old hard drive style one was still loading it....and loading and loading....

When it finally loaded the game, they showed you how smooth the movement of the characters were on the SSD machine compared to the hard drive machine.

I could not believe how slow the old style hard drive was.

The results were quite amazing.

Anyone using an SSD, restoring an image from a mechanical hard drive onto a SSD?

Lot of discussion about sector alignment. Little over my head....

Few mentions of Acronis 2011 fixing the issue.
