You aren't going to get me to defend GWB's and other big government republican's economic policies anymore than you will get me to defend democrats. Both parties have been partying like rock stars at our expense. By their actions, both parties have made a mockery of the US Constitution. But we the people have let them because they promise a free lunch and we believe them. And then we don't hold them accountable when they don't deliver. Instead we believe them when they say that we simply need more government involvement in our lives for them to deliver.

Agreed

If you are not concerned about what the obama administration with the driving force of the Reid/Pelosi congress have done to the political process, then we have even less common ground than I thought.

Well Bush sunk us into one hell of a mess. It will take us many, many years to get out from under this economic disaster. I have not seen a single solution out of the Repubs except to cut spending.

Hmmm.. lets just lay off more people as a result of that idea!

I'm not happy with either party but before Bush was elected we had a budget surplus. That's a fact!

Going forward we will have to get this country off the credit bubble. Americans have to learn not to spend beyond their means. There is no short term fix for this massive problem.
