I don't think that I need to explain why bubbles are not healthy even if they are fun for the short time that they exist.

Your getting a little bit mixed up here. That Clinton bubble period was based on good fundamentals in the economy. The Real Estate bubble was based on grossly distorted economics and very, very poor regulation of lending and Wall Street greed excess.. Greenspan didn't believe in any regulation in these areas.

When you could buy a house with no money down this economy became screwed because of the distortions in our Real Estate system.

Have you ever heard the adage "when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging"?

Let's not repeat the Great Depression. Government has to step in in major economic situations to "prime the pump". When you have large numbers of folks unemployed cutting taxes and spending is only going to make the problem worse.

Did you take any economics in college? Study the Great Depression?

We had a budget surplus because we were in a bubble during the Clinton years

And because of the "Peace Dividend", and because the Republicans took power in congress.
