The downgrade from HQ buy to hold was inevitable. QNTM is still has 70% of its business of desktop business and they will be impacted by this price war between SEG, WDC and Fujitsu.
I have seen this before in SRAM business in 1995-1996. Because of declining margin at low end and everybody will concentrate at high end to make money and the high end business will be subject to heavy competition. Even though DLT may be(and is) successful, QNTM will be looked as a most trader and fund as a DD company. This will limit
the upward potential and will subject to all downward pressure that other DD companies will face in coming quarters.
