>>" Don, I asked you a question. What's wrong with Thomas' wife demanding an apology from Anita Hill? "<<

Nothing...she should leave voicemails as often as she can between now and November 2 and then afterwards as long as her husband sits on the Supreme Court.

And oh btw, while she is making these apology demands by voice mail she should keep attending teabagger rallies and become as prominent as she can as a spokesperson.

Maybe she should be asking her husband for an apology.

"What's wrong with Thomas' wife demanding an apology from Anita Hill?"

Besides....she didn't "demand" anything. She asked very politely...But, regardless, I'm sure she regrets it now.

"I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband. So give it some thought and certainly pray about this and come to understand why you did what you did. OK, have a good day," Thomas said.

The implication is that Anita did something wrong, or that she made the allegations up as Clarence Thomas suggested. Although Anita Hill does not seem like a liar to me, I questioned the wisdom of bringing the issue up when she did.

Any person can apologise for the pain or suffering a third party has experienced and it is always admirable to do that. The context of such an apology in this circumstance would need to be carefully phrased. In addition, it was Anita who was claiming to have been wronged and being called a liar when she came foreword makes such an apology unlikely.
