NOT hindsight. Are you saying no one was opposed to TARP and to bailing the banks out at the time as opposed to having them go through receivership? Balderdash!

Polls showed that the majority of people were against the TARP bailout approach, which had literally no impact on its passage in Congress.

Les is saying that some of these banks may not have needed all the support. At the time, that wasn't clear.
