It could have been worse. In Egypt he premeditated the murder of all the first born! This is so evil because being first born is not an indication of whether people are innocent or guilty and deserving of execution. Indeed such whole-scale murder is (like the terrible rapes and genocides elsewhere) the certain evidence of unmitigated evil. The god of rape and genocide and evil. Some swear by him. Yikes!

Few people understand that God was a great proponent of such games as chess. In this passage the virgins are kidnapped and taken back to become wives. There was no sex and force involved in the kidnapping or anything that followed. These men required partners in the game of chess which God had invented over in India (where Cain build-ed a city) and desired His Chosen People to become skilled at the game. None of the many passages of genocide in the bible where God commands them to kill every living thing except the young virgin girls to keep for yourself was about rape or sex or anything sordid. It was found that young virgin girls were much quicker at learning chess than males or older females. Non-virgins seemed incapable of learning the intricacies of chess so were Justly and Righteously disemboweled with the sword. Chess was one of the most important and pervasive delights of those tribal centuries when games were rare and hard to invent. Repeated Genocide and massacres were pretty much the only way really good chess players could be gotten... People who talk about rape are just ignorant atheists who know nothing about hermeneutics.
