I have observed that gold often leads the market.

Not sure if it was here, but I posted several months ago that there was virtually no chance of a stock market top until gold peaked.

Gold leads the buck which in turn heavily influences stocks.

Unlike stocks gold failed to make a new high on Wed, and is down sharply as of mid-day today.

This is a bad omen for stocks and commodities and a good omen for the buck.
