I know you aren't suggesting that this is the difference between the two states, at least I hope you aren't. You have two states on the extreme as to how they run their State government. There is a sharp contrast now as to how they are surviving in harsh times. .......Prop 13 I agree contributed to California predicament but you don't think that is the whole story do you? It always comes down to greed and the power of the haves to dump the tax burden on the have nots. I just hate this argument. It's a class war? If people live in the greatest country on earth they should all contribute in taxes. With a sales tax at least the essentials are not taxed but the cart loads of plastic crap from China and sold at WalMart that ends up in the dump in 6 months is. That's how it should be.
