Haim, I like your scenario, but I have samll modifications, I think we have not seen the worst that November can offer, I also think that the year end rally will be mild and over after the first 10 days in January (give or take a week. The real big bear will be in depth of winter, like in February, and then, beware of the ides of March.

<<Zeev the bear is still two months old>> A hell of a lot of damage has been done in the tech sector. It looks like more is to come before the end of the year. Some time things will bounce back to suck in more "buy the dips folks". I quit looking for buys except for short term rebounds. Got a fire sale going on my R.E. BB. Gave a friend a 2x4 to whack me in the head if I even think about keeping the junk.

I think we need NEWS to get out of the 7000-7600 range either way.
I can think of plenty of possibilities... more Asia turmoil,
mideast trouble & oil price rise (anyone have reasoned views on
whether an oil price rise is likely? I don't really follow....).
I can't think of a lot of news that would support a year end rally,
but maybe some hopeful stuff from the tech sector, even if it's
flimsy, would do the trick.
