Well, we are at that point at which conversation gets difficult. I'm rather familiar with the difference between correlation and causation, so you might assume that if I typed that I was satisfied that Krugman believed there was a causal relation. As for whether one did, in fact, exist, that's what economic historians try to figure out. To the best of my knowledge, that's the general consensus at the moment. If you've got a different view of the consensus, fire away. Otherwise, you've just stated a position without evidence.
