Hi Bill. On the same subject, a message from Jerry Michalski with a notice relating to this coming Monday's Yin-Tan conference call:

--

Greetings,

A fight is brewing in your living room -- again.

This time the surface question is whether you will spend $100 for an Apple TV or three times as much for a Google TV. Underneath, the details get pretty interesting.

With Al Chang, let's discuss:

* What are the major differences between the two offers?
* How might people respond differently to them? Does design trump choice?
* Which variable matters most? Simplicity? Access to media? Potential?

As always, an IRC Chat will be available during the call, here.

We tweet as @yitan. Please follow us, and use #yitan as well. This page is on a wiki, here.

Date: Monday, October 25, 2010

Time: 10:30 PDT, 1:30 EDT
Dial-in Number: 1-270-400-1500
Participant Access Code: 778778

See all the Yi-Tan calls in the call archive or listen to the edited podcasts on this blog. You can also listen to the shorter call summaries there.

Please feel free to forward this note to people you think would be interested in these calls. (To unsubscribe, just reply to me and I'll be happy to do so.)

Talk to you on the call!

Bestest,

GoogleTV will make its mark in Africa. Africa has got telephony without fixed line. It is now getting computerless Internet with 3G. The next logical step is going to be TV without TV screens. The device wil l come down in price and will allow it take off.
