Real people don't need wires. If they have a long speech to read, they may need a telemprompter. If Obama is being cued to give responses through a teleprompter, then it's the same as Bush being wired.

Didn't they have to set up Bush's telemprompter with phonetic spellings because he couldn't figure out how to pronounce words?
