GG, it's all easy. <Any solution to this.. > For a couple of decades I have been inventing in my mind personal transport vehicles which are now becoming reality [though the superconductor components are still not on the drawing board]. Google can now tell a car where to drive to and it does it all by itself. Roads can take 10 times the number of vehicles currently on them, traveling faster, more efficiently and more safely and cheaply. What's required it to make electronics take over and not let large primates try to control motion. Similarly, with airliners. A380s can ply the skies carrying millions of people at low cost. Intercity and intercontinental transport tubes are doable for 1000 kph ground level travel. Part of the solution is reduced need to travel with 3D cyberspace taking much of the legwork out of daily life [and vehicle work]. Couriers are efficient and cheap. Buying something on-line, with couriers doing the delivery is efficient, fast and cheap. Mqurice

Actually, that's not true... our society has made all sorts of changes that RAISED costs, and virtually nobody thinks it wasn't a good idea. :) ....or 2.) You're RIGHT, if you take "externalities" into account. :) DAK
