Hi All, lotsa lotsa under a dollar stocks lately, and most are getting quite attractive. Check out TOWVQ (stratosphere) its located in LAs Vegas and its stock price just recently hit a new low today of about .10 on news of a 2nd amended restructuring chap 11. TOWVQ has been stuck trading around .25-.40 for a while, until the fall today to a low of .10 . This one may be a great long time hold stock, if they can get through the chap 11's. And may be a short term play back to the .30's. Complete Financials: Jun 1997 Earnings Announcement: NA Business Summary TOWVQ owns and operates the Stratosphere Tower, Casino & Hotel, a resort containing a fully integrated casino/hotel, observation tower and entertainment complex located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. For the 6 months ended 6/97, net revenues totalled $71.2M, up from $29.9M. Net loss increased 91% to $17.6M. Results reflect the 4/96 inception of operations, offset by $13.3M in write-offs and other reorganization charges. I picked up a few shares today to add to my penny portfolio at the .14 & .15 cent level, and will be keeping my eye on this one. Just in case i'm wrong and it tanks more, i'll probably get out and reenter lower. But most likely will average down. Just trying to bottom fish here, and a friend of mine just got back from Vegas and visited the Tower for me and told me he liked the place and they were busy at the time too.
