Richard, WIND was in the NC picture as of the press release a
little over a year ago (Interop?) by Oracle, which announced
that WIND had been choosen for the SECOND generation NC design
after evaluating all the competition. What has happened since
then is that NCI and NAVIO merged. NAVIO had already done their
own NC OS, and I have unconfirmed info that indicated that this
OS was based on a buyout of VxWorks from WIND earlier on. It is
possible that NCI is now going with the NAVIO OS, but WIND may
not get a royalty stream from it. I repeat, this info has NOT
been confirmed, but it may explain Ron Abelmann's frustration on
the NC topic.
