The Pledge of Allegiance of the United States is an oath of loyalty to the national flag and the republic of the United States of America. Seems pretty innocuous to me! I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
