Yep, exactly right on all points!

The true collapse is years ahead. I'd give 2-4
years until the true SHTF moment, the bottom of this
crisis of the country. Now, I don't know if the
DOW will trade at 3K, 8K, 100K, or 1,000,000K. Anything
is possible -vbg-

It's a toss up although I prefer 3k to 1,000,000k

interesting that you say that...i listened to a fascinating interview with robert hirsch on financial sense news hour a few days ago.

robert hirsch was commissioned by the department of energy to produce a report called Peaking of World Oil Production: Impacts, Mitigation, and Risk Management, but which came to be known as the hirsch report. the report was published in 2005, and in that report, he made no predictions as to when the peak oil decline would commence.

in the most recent interview, however, he says to expect the decline to begin in 2 to 5 years. lots of interesting info and food for thought in the interview.
