If I wanted to give $1 million to a candidate but did not want to disclose it, wouldn't it be best for me to arrange for series of small untraced donations?

Pretty funny. In $100 donations that would be 10,000 donors. Well that should be easy, hold a barbecue and give all your friends a 100 bucks each to donate.

If you are going to make the claim that such a thing happened, present some evidence for it. Otherwise it's mere speculation.
