Dwight, I think the current stock actions have you spooked. The key to tech profits has been (and will always be) barriers to entry ... either technological or financial. There will not be price pressures from Asia forcing PC software down. Microsoft is not in trouble. There has to be an OS with each one of those cheap new PCs. There will have to be antiviral software, utilities, etc. There are new graphics systems which allow unbelievable games to be made. There is DVD. There is digital photography. There is the internet.

Basically, there is very little reason to be bearish on future tech purchases. So the big question is competition, and in some cases companies have exclusive turf. QNTM has the DLT and NFR. Ciena? MSFT? C-Cube? I can think of lots of companies which have tech that can't be replicated overseas and if anything, should be helped by Asian currency devaluation.

Have tech stocks been due for a correction? Yes. And it is here.
Are tech stocks due for a bear market? I think not. But time will tell.
