If we are going to spend money that we don't have and we can't borrow, it's generated out of thin air via QE. It doesn't matter if you call it 'stimulus' or 'tooth fairy' or 'pennies from heaven' -- the rub is that the propensity for foreigners to fund our out of control spending is waning, not increasing, so there's no choice.

Except perhaps outright theft from US citizens I suppose. Grab the retirement plans and then distribute to the elite. You know, one of the 4th quarter calls in the Argentina playbook.

Regardless, we will suffer from such a central planning committee's wealth redistribution and our economy will be further maladjusted. But the point will be that peon taxpayers will be holding an even bigger back of steaming turds.
