dg, mu gave to asps last q. their overall asp was $7.00. their 16 mb dram asp was $6.50. of course, they put $7.00 in their press release and only fessed up to $6.50 in their conference call ;-) your $5.50 compares to the $7.00 figure and may be close - though i suspect reality is in the low $5.00 mark. using your figure of $5.50, though, asps are still down 20+% this q. at 100 million chips a q, that is $600 million in revenue lost per year. OUCH! my $4.60 compares to the $6.50 straight 16 mb dram pricing. we are saying the same thing, but using different numbers. the point still stands.
