Yahoo's market cap exceeds $2.4 billion, outpacing leading companies with 100s of millions and even billions in revenue.

An investment in Yahoo at these levels, considering that web advertising revenues are not growing at anywhere near the overoptimistic projections, will spell disaster for the average investor.

Something that put Yahoo in a bit of perspective for me was an interview with one of the NASA/Mars people who pointed out that their site averaged more than 20 million hits per day for the first month or so. (could NASA sell advertising to support the space program?) This gave a reference point for the number of hits.

Still haven't decided whether to short YHOO or not.
