But the austerians argue that the numbers don’t matter — we have to cut now now now or the bond vigilantes will attack. The Austrians have gained a huge following it would seem. Since just about the entire country is now concerned about debt - Krugman seems to want to marginalize them all as "bond vigilantes". What garbage. Have you heard me ever say one word about bonds or bond vigilantes? Only in Krugmans mind is this what people are worried about. But "thanks" Krugman for acknowledging the deep thinking of Austrians! That makes it a great day indeed for Austrian thought.
