There are maybe 150M me's, and most of them wouldn't have the cash on hand, and couldn't get out of the bank, and so couldn't go to work, cuz, while they were willing to walk 30 miles uphills both way in a blizzard. to get there, the day would be over before they ever got there. And, if they did, the Man couldn't pay them cuz the bank was closed.

"should have been done on far less favorable terms to the banks" Bush didn't have the political clout within his party to do more. Whether he had the desire is another question.

My point is I think whatever we needed to accomplish could have and should have been done on far less favorable terms to the banks and more favorable terms to the taxpayers than what occurred.

My sentiments exactly. Watching Wall St. roll Congress was predictable and pathetic.
