Here's hoping the Rangers take good care of Cliff Lee so the Yankees get him in top shape for next year's playoff run.

Hi spitsong,

Couldn't agree more. Cold Rays and Yankees doesn't fly with me.

Every time Yankees lost, I got a call from "the coach", a close friend who lives and dies by his Yankees, claiming that the layoff after the Minnesota series really hurt the Yankees, who would otherwise blow Texas away.

Absolutely, Lee provided the missing piece for Texas as was evident by post season numbers against the best 2 teams in baseball that any major league pitcher would envy.

But for one inning, Texas totally dominated/decimated what Yankee fans claimed prior to the series was an unbeatable team.

Like you, I'm just gearing up to enjoy a World Series and this year's breath of fresh air it brings, between the Rangers and the Giants. (Just got a call from one of my kids who works with within the farm system of a major league team that he is on his way over to join me in watching yet another Fall Classic.Gonna enjoy tonight's game even more so now after that call!)

great rendition of the anthem by John Legend! Love the fly over!
