I like HMTT and IVAC in this environment.

HMTT because they are running at 100% capacity, adding more static lines, and have new state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to supply the the high-capacity disk requirements of the manufacturers. In addition, they supply the Iomega Jaz disks including the newly approved 2GB version which has just started to ship in quantity to Iomega.

IVAC because they sell state-of-the-art static sputtering equipment which is required by all disk makers who plan to provide the supply for the new higher capacity drives.

Both companies beat the street this last quarter and have positive outlooks for the current period. The recent turmoil in the sector should not have a negative impact, and in fact might prove to be a positive given that transitions to higher-capacity drives appear to be happening sooner than expected. HMTT and IVAC would both benefit. In addition, both companies have taken hits with the rest of the sector and are at excellent buy levels IMO.

Regards - Dale
