Hi Dale.
The best source on the Web that I've found for explaining margin is the following:

savoystocks.com

It's part of the site at Savoy Discount Brokerage, a firm of whose other services I know nothing.

My one complaint with the site is that it's been "under construction" for months now, and I don't know how serious they are about completing the project, if you know what I mean. Once you look at this page, it's worth navigating to their "Savoy University" where they address other topics as well, even short selling.

Enjoy.

Dale: RCMT on a very quick pass. Does not seem such a safe shorting situation ratios are low p/e. p/b, p/s and they are growing very fast through adquisitions. Talk about buying revenues! The tight employment situation in the US couple with their market niche IT/computer literate personnel makes for possible strong growth. Would not touch it now.

Pancho

Plenty of stocks with limited growth prospects and outrageous (SP?) ratios.
