Doesn't necessarily mean that every major sector is done in a different town or country.....could be at the same site but in a different building. Chip fabs must be very very clean... Testing, dicing, mounting and packaging are not that clean...they are also mostly lower skill processes....and cheaper. Exception may be building the chip package which can be expensive and complicated depending on whose it is....

We're talking about a plane that is being assembled all over the world by different companies from all over the world. Parts are getting shipped thousands of miles. Its the craziest thing I've ever heard.
