Nikon. From Solid State Technology, November 1997, page 32.

Does anyone have comments . . .

Nikon Precision will invest about 800 billion yen (about $680 million) to expand its manufacturing facility at Kumayaga, Japan, as part of its effort to prepare for the next upturn in stepper business. The Kumayaga factory is now fully dedicated to deep UV production, with the i-line work having been shifted to the Tochigi Nihon subsidiary. Following the expansion at Kumayaga, Nikon will be able to produce about 1000 units/year -- 500 each of i-line and deep UV.

Jess, I feel your pain too. I understand you will have to bail out of some stock to avoid the margin call. My advice to you would be to get rid of it at market over a few trades. I think if you put a stop, you will definately get stopped out. The way this thing is going, who knows where the bottom is or how fast we will get there. The main thing to do I think is get rid of what you have to get rid of, and then with the rest, just keep until this time next year. I think we will see $15, and I hope we dont go even lower than that. I am not a shorter trying to talk the stock down, I just am trying to give my opinion as if I didn't own any position in this stock(i wish:-). I also think that we will not really base, but rather have a swift, lightning turnaround. My basis for thinking the stock is doomed short term is just plain fear in the market about this stock. I think the fair value is $30. Well, I'm rambling. Just wondering how much more money I will lose today:-(

Steve

<< I'll probably place a couple of sizeable stop loss orders before the market opens and hope for the best.

Jess FYI, the naz does not support stop loss orders, only sell limits. I learned that the hard way.
