One little beheading and everyone freaks out. Thank goodness you can keep your head on straight.

Beheadings are routine now in Mexico; a recently devised way of murdering someone is to slowly but completely tape the victim's head with duct tape.

If they want to just torture you, they will mix extremely hot pepper sauce with club soda, fizz it up by shaking it, then pouring it down your nostrils and into sinuses. This is the infamous 'tehuacanazo' after Tehuacan mineral water.

Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, forget about it, the real threat to our national security is on our southern border.

Apologies if this was posted already:

Prison Economics Help Drive Ariz. Immigration Law

npr.org

I know I shouldn't be surprised, but if the chain of events detailed here led (or even contributed) to the adoption of SB1070...

"Brewer has her own connections to private prison companies. State lobbying records show two of her top advisers — her spokesman Paul Senseman and her campaign manager Chuck Coughlin — are former lobbyists for private prison companies. Brewer signed the bill — with the name of the legislation Pearce, the Corrections Corporation of America and the others in the Hyatt conference room came up with — in four days."

Man, I'm not nearly cynical enough.

At least Sheriff Joe's tents are cheap.
