Companies will do a reasonable job of protecting their own IP (in fact, protection of IP is what you [collectively] bitch about constantly WRT drug manufacturers). Inode you don't know what you're talking about...you can't develop anywhere without inherent transfer of know how...even when we outsourced on a spec we transferred know how. What and who do you think is most responsible for the emergence of semi equipment companies in the US? Why do you think it every economist is saying, "Those jobs aren't coming back"? It is because they've left, permanently, for localities that can do the jobs more cost effectively. We are talking about two different things. Everybody knows this about manufacturing...it's yesterday's news. And still pundits oversimplify...it's what they said about manufacturing moving to Japan in the 60s...what american company would manufacture in Japan today? Al
