That is so absurd it is beyond belief, yet you buy it. The company officers rolled the dice with OPM to enrich themselves. No one had to force these executives to do stupid things. They knew they were disregarding a 100 years of bank loan standards. They thought they would make a score and retire someone else could clean up the mess. So far unless anybody bothers to indict them they did fine for themselves but farked the country. ================= Congress effectively tied you hands and told you to lend to anyone who applied, lest you find yourself in trouble for discrimination in some form or other.
