my guess, based on long-held premise, is that the allegedly #8 team usa and supposedly #140 strategic competitor china will either (i) 'we are saved' swap places, or (ii) be relegated to 'we are doomed' meet at #120

to think that they would cross paths within the first 20 would be unrealistically optimistic
