"legislators who want to make things better. Unfortunately, that's not the political world in which we live." I think you are suggesting that the situation is inevitable. We need to change the system by changing who controls the system. I am hoping that enough Americans are fed up with politics as usual and will elect over time politicians who will fix problems instead of making them worse. The tea party is in my view leading the way. Maybe you lefties should form your own left wing oriented tea party that works toward effective as opposed to wasteful government. Is there any interest there do you think? lj
