I owned KAZ for a long time and gave up the ghost on it as things just didn't appear to be going well there. The balance sheet Book value has thus far proven irrelevant as it became increasingly clear that the figure was highly dependent on the Co's. ability to capitalize on the stated value of its assets and bring those assets to production and the market profitably. Burdened by debt and political issues as Government continued to assert its taxing authority. For a stock to be down so long selling at a fraction of balance sheet book, particularly in a market such as this, implied deeper problems with no resolution in sight.
