In Jersey, for a variety of reasons, not least of which, of course, is the governor, the amounts spent on public education will go sideways to down for an indefinite period. Public school folk are either going to cut--larger classes, fewer amenities, and thus worse education, or rethink what they are doing. We're rethinking but the state, as a whole, has not yet committed itself, save for yelling and screaming from the governor's office.
