Wave your magic fairy wand and make it so.

Many of us are for getting rid of bad teachers- but making it happen is rather difficult. Get busy with your wand.

If the administration who hires teachers did a great job we would not have bad teachers. I know of one when I taught who stuttered... THERE was another brilliant woman, a mathematician whom I went out of my way to pick up every day as she had two car crashes whom the students threw pennies at.
I intervened. They finally let her go but my question
is how did she ever get hired. She used to say HARK when a bell rang. Alice was a sweetie pie but oh she did not belong in a classroom.

Maybe there aren't enough good teachers around but I doubt that if the money is good and the reputation of the school good and the job challenging.

Are there bad CEO's Paul ?Did you ever wonder how the heck they got there in the first place ?

That's at least one thing one which we agree. But the general approach of your ilk is that in order to fire bad teachers, the state needs to get rid of tenure for teachers and peg teacher salaries to classroom student tests.
