There has been some speculation that the SparQ is a knockoff of the SyJet. I posted this on the Syqest thread...

If the SparQ uses the same parts that Iomega objected to on the Syjet, it could fall under the same patent infringement suit. Hence, the result of the lawsuit could possibly affect the SparQ as well.

Possibly, two birds with one stone.
